James Holloway

As owner of The Holloway Partnership, James Holloway believes that a strong financial plan is vital to achieving a better, more secure quality of life. As a boy in Bullard, Texas, James grew up watching his father, a financial advisor, craft financial plans to protect resources, plan for the future, and guide his clients toward greater financial confidence. James later became an apprentice in his father’s firm and other practices throughout the US, witnessing how thoughtful financial planning can have a lasting impact on families and the community at large.

James created The Holloway Partnership with his wife, Erin, to help even more families in Texas and beyond discover greater financial security. His daily mission is to help families, individuals, and business people problem solve, assess risk, and offer viable solutions tailored to his clients’ goals. A sixth-generation Texan, James was raised to understand that a community that helps each other helps itself, and he aims to be a consistent source of industry knowledge and guide on his clients’ journey to an elevated quality of life.

James and Erin have been married for over twenty years. Together they have a son, James Lee, and daughters, KayLyn and Lillianna. The Holloways are a rodeo family. James Lee is a steer wrestler and saddle bronc rider, while KayLyn shows livestock and barrel races. Their youngest, Lillianna, a true Texan, is too young to compete but already loves the animals and everything rodeo. When James isn’t helping his clients, he and the whole family can be found enjoying the Texas rodeo circuit.

As a co-owner of the firm, I spend my days looking at the whole picture of your retirement and focusing on how to get you from here to there. I've held my insurance license since 2008, but this business has been part of my life much longer than that. Growing up, I worked alongside my father and observed firsthand the impact of proper planning on people's lives.

What keeps me in this work is seeing clients gain clarity about their retirement decisions. When people understand their options and have a plan in place, they often feel more comfortable focusing on the parts of life that matter most to them.

Early on, I saw the other side of it. My grandmother lost her Texaco pension and Social Security check when my grandfather passed, and it changed everything for our family. That experience shaped my career. No other family should have to go through what we did. This isn't about managing money. It's about making sure what you've built doesn't disappear when you need it most.

While I was born in Austin, I spent my elementary years in Louisiana and graduated from high school here in Bullard. My wife, Erin, and I raise our kids out here in the country, and most of our free time goes to rodeo, hunting, and making sure the kids actually pick up a book now and then.
